Political life

As the municipality is a local institution, it is essentially the level of authority to which citizens feel the closest. In effect, a number of mandatory administrative procedures have to be carried out in your municipality. On the political level also, the municipality is a local authority: it has responsibilities in very varied areas. However, all of them concern you closely.
But for all that, how well do you know your municipality?

More particularly, do you understand the workings of its political life? Who does what? What is the college? And the council? How can you take part in municipal political life? And, basically, who are your elected representatives?

You will find answers to all your questions in these sections:

1.      Elected Representatives

1.1.    Municipal College

1.2.    Municipal Council

1.3.    Youth Council

1.4.    Intermunicipal organizations

1.5.    Council Committees

1.6.    Elected representatives' consultations

2.       Council minutes

2.1.    Agenda for the next council meeting

2.2.    Previous minutes

2.3.    Municipal Council interpellation procedure

3.       General Policy

A word from the Mayor

Today methods of communication are changing in extraordinary and dazzling ways. In this respect, the Internet offers possibilities which a municipality should use to serve not only its citizens, but also all those who have a special interest in our region.

Welcome to the Bouillon website to all of you. You will find lots of useful information on subjects as varied as administration, politics, culture, sport, associations, …. Municipal news, as well as the diary of cultural, tourist, sporting and social events, will be regularly updated.

You will also be able to download the most frequently used administrative documents and be directed to other more specific sites where you will be able to discover the distinctive features and riches of our municipality.

The Bouillon town website is therefore an invitation to everyone who wishes to become more familiar with the riches of its landscape, its attraction as a tourist destination and its historical heritage, but it is also a tool for all our municipality's citizens making it possible for them to be kept informed about municipal life.

The Mayor,
Jacques PIERRET
